Activities and Organizations
There's
more to your education than classroom learning. Participation
in clubs, student government, and other on-campus
activities provide leadership skills that last a
lifetime. For example, this extreme gravity racer,
designed and built by Alfred University students,
competed in the 1.5 mile XGR Greenlight Gravity
Series, a non-motorized car race down Tuna Canyon
Road in Malibu, CA. The racer was one of only three
university teams to compete among twelve teams,
including professionals from Chrysler and Honda.
Alfred's entry finished 6th in both time and speed,
Alfred University recognizes more than 100 student organizations. Here are just a few of the activities that are particularly relevant to the professional development of engineering students.
