Engineering Leadership Education and Development (E-LEAD)
Scholarships
Engineers are leaders -- they imagine the future and make it happen. Alfred University's E-LEAD initiative is designed to provide scholarships and leadership training to young women and men who are dedicated to making a difference.
Individuals applying to the Kazuo Inamori School of Engineering at Alfred University are invited to apply for an Engineering Leadership Education and Development (E-LEAD) Scholarship. In addition to providing up to $10,000 per year for four years, the E-LEAD scholarship will provide leadership training opportunities. The E-LEAD scholarships and associated programming were made possible by a grant from the National Science Foundation and the generous contributions of individual and corporate sponsors.
CRITERIA
Successful applicants must have been accepted by Alfred University for consideration for the E-LEAD Scholarships. Scholarship recipients will be selected based on academic achievement, leadership capacity/experience, quality of special essay, financial need (see below) and performance in the selection interview.
E-LEAD APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS
To apply for the E-Lead Scholarship, applicants must complete the following three steps.
